Yesterday was a classic case of putting too many eggs in one basket. As you readers know, my grand opening was to occur yesterday, but if you click on the links below ... my stores won't be open ... not until next Tuesday.
Lil' Richard needs some one-on-one attention, just for this week. I'll start the discount next Tuesday until next.
Sorry that my personal life got in the way of progress. Hang tight.
xohearts,
Miss Manhattan Mamba

The day the tassels twirled.
There are just a few more loose ends to tie before opening, (which is tomorrow, AH!). I've decided to open a little later in the evening because I have to drive all the way out to Newcastle to pick up my adopted ferret son, Lil' Richard ... he's got a pencil-thin mustache on his back and he sings Lucille in ferret talk. He's my mustached mustela. he-he.
Anyway, if you're reading this, please check out my store.
You'll be rewarded ... 15% off your entire purchase, (before postage), from the 5th of April through the 12th of April. All you have to do is send me a message, on anyone of my stores, and tell me what name I chose for my ferret.
I hope to see you on opening day!

It's due on April 5th...
The birth of my store, Miss Manhattan Mamba!
I'm going to answer a few questions about my business and myself. So here we go!
Where are you located?
Runcorn U.K. as of Sept. 2008. I'm a migrant from Connecticut, U.S.A.
What are you selling?
Hand-made bespoke burlesque accouterments, which are, but not limited to nipple pasties, hats, hair ornaments, etc.
What's the idea behind the name?
Miss Manhattan Mamba was an alias I created years ago for myself. I was caught up in all the hype focused on the burlesque culture at the time and thought I would give it I try. So, I searched for burlesque classes near my hometown and ended up driving all the way to NYC for Red Hots Burlesque SCHOOL OF SHIMMY.

BTW, School of Shimmy is run by Dottie Lux ... and she is a fantastic instructor!
The class took up the best of two hours and ended with the pupils displaying the practiced techniques. Most of us were apprehensive, including myself. To make a long story a lil' bit shorter ... I realized I had stage fright that I couldn't shake (even with a shimmy). My dream ended up retiring that evening. However, I adopted the alias as a business name.
Where do you look for inspiration when working on a piece?
Vintage clothing, especially accessories such as hats and costume jewelry, vintage ephemera, particular art movements (art nouveau & deco), tattoo flash, Japanese culture ... the list goes on and on.
Where are you selling your items?
